Join us for a presentation featuring Dementia Minds participants Dr. Joanna Fix, Cyndy Hund, and a team of Duke University Researchers. This presentation will share the final results of an 8-week research study exploring the ways in which dementia impacts the financial well-being of persons living with dementia and care partners. The team used a creative research method called Photovoice to explore this topic using photography and in-depth discussion. The session will end with an open discussion for attendees to further discuss the financial impact of dementia on families.

The experience of interacting with healthcare providers is shared by three persons living with dementia. The panelists will share what works well and what challenges they face when working with healthcare providers. They will share tips, strategies, and workarounds to help support and empower them on their healthcare journey. This educational opportunity is offered at no cost to attendees. Approval is pending for 1 clinical CEU for social workers and 1 CNE for nurses.
