For Such a Time as This is an interactive presentation by seven black individuals living with dementia. In this dramatic presentation, they will share the impact of their diagnosis and the important role their faith plays in their ability to live well. This presentation is hope-filled, challenging, and inspirational. Be prepared for a powerful experience that will transform your view of living with dementia. The presentation allows persons living with dementia to initiate conversations that many are afraid to have and then answer questions from the audience during the Talkback session following the presentation.

National Council of Dementia Minds is hosting a special meeting for persons living with dementia. You are welcome to attend alone or invite your care partner to attend with you.
We've teamed up with Roon, who has developed an app that has over 3,000 answers to common questions from top doctors, care partners, and persons living with dementia (many of whom are Dementia Minds participants).
We are inviting you to attend two sessions. The first will introduce you to the app. You will have a week to try out the app before the second session. At the second session you will be asked to provide your feedback to the Roon staff. You will be able to let them know what worked well and what was challenging for you. Roon will incorporate your feedback to help make the app more dementia friendly.
Have you been curious about the world of new AI (artificial intelligence) technologies and their impact? National Council of Dementia Minds is teaming up with researchers at Clemson University under the guidance of Dr. Emma Dixon to hold sessions describing new AI technologies that may be useful for persons living with dementia or MCI. We will explore using AI technologies for art, speech, music, and more! These sessions are open to persons living with dementia or MCI and Care Partners.
Please note that there will be two sessions. The first session will introduce you to accessing and navigating different AI technologies. The second session will be a follow-up where you can ask any questions and discuss ways to integrate AI in your day-to-day life. You only need to register once for both sessions.
